Meet Our Dynamic Duo
Chef Matthew Crawford is a graduate of the Scottsdale Culinary Institute. He has been a chef now for 25 years, with experience at many top restaurants throughout the Southwest. Recently he was chef at one of Las Vegas’s best steakhouse, Vic & Anthony’s. Matthew is dedicated to creating original entrees that are made with only the freshest ingredients and make guests want more. He is proud to say he’s served two Presidents, Bill Clinton and George W. Bush. You’ll have to come in and ask him what they ordered!
Chef Clifford Shields is a Prescott, Arizona native. He was raised on a local ranch and started helping his mother and grandmother cook for the family at age four. He became fascinated with food, cooking and kitchens. Today, he has more than 35 year’s experience in the Culinary Arts field, including nine years here at Murphy’s and four years at the prestigious El Chorro Lounge in Paradise Valley. His claim to fame is being the personal Chef for owner of CNN, Ted Turner for five years at his ranch in Montana.
